ALUMINUM VS. WOOD

  • Aluminum is Maintenance Free VS. Wood will need to paint or stain wood.
  • Tie Downs & Blocks are INCLUDED whereas on the wood buildings we are just a dealer for WeatherKing & they DO NOT provide blocks or Tie Downs.
  • 140 VS. 150 MPH Windload - Minimal Difference
  • Aluminum will not rot. Wood even treated is subject to rot. ALUMINUM WILL OUTLAST WOOD 2-3 TIMES.
  • Termites will not eat Aluminum VS. Wood attracts bugs. ALUMINUM REFLECTS SUN VS. SHINGLES HOLD HEAT.
  • CONDENSATION - Only below freezing does it occur - VERY SELDOM HERE.
  • 4" x 8" x 16" Blocks provided @ 6' Spacing VS. Wood No Blocks are provided. We suggest you buy them at Lowe's for about $1.50 each & have them on hand near where your building will be placed & we will use them when leveling your building.
  • There is a $100 extra charge for labor on 12' X 24' & larger wood buildings (Must be paid to R&K before delivery).
  • 3/4" VS. 5/8" Plywood Floor on Wood Buildings.

Aluminum is the best bang for your buck. Because of homeowner guidelines, sometimes Wood is your only choice, so we offer both. Just be sure & maintain your wood building.
